Believe in your heart that God raised the Lord Jesus from the dead, who died for us who were still sinners. (Romans 5:8; Romans 10:9-10)
- Who?
- It is the responsibility of each individual to believe in Jesus for themselves. Children are not born into it just because their parents or grandparents may believe. ...learn more
- What?
- Believe that the Lord is Jesus / Jesus is the Lord (Romans 10:9).
- Believe that God raised His only begotten son Jesus from the dead after He died on the cross to pay for your sins (Romans 10:9; Romans 6:23).
- Believe that He will save you if you call upon His name (John 3:16; Romans 5:8; Romans 10:13)

- When?
- You can believe today.
- Even two or three year olds can believe if they can understand the truth about Christ; and so can people as old as Moses.
- Once a person dies, it is then too late, and tomorrow is not promised.
- Believing does not require you to first know everything there is to know about Jesus. In Matthew 18:2-3, Jesus says we must be converted and become as little children. Children have not had much time to learn, and do not know everything. When they get basic information from someone they trust, they believe. They may ask a few questions to get more clarity, but that's all it takes.

- Where?
- You may come to believe in Jesus anywhere, even where you are at right now.
- It is not required for you to be inside of a church house, or a particular event or place to come to believe.
- It is also not required for you to join or be a member of a local church in order to get saved and become a member of the body of Christ.

- Why?
- Jesus said "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die" (John 11:25-26).
- Acts 4:12 says "there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Verse 10 specifies that it's speaking of the name, Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
- Jesus said "ye believe in God, believe also in me" (John 14:1).
- God saw that we needed a savior, so He gave us His son to die for us.
- Since we have all sinned, Jesus Christ was sent to reconcile us to God because sin separated us from God. But not only is our belief in Christ necessary for our own reconciliation, but so we can help others believe and be reconciled also.

- How?
- Seek and try to know Jesus, just as a man puts forth a great deal of effort for anything he really wants in life. Jesus is a real live person.
- Seek God with all of your heart, and with all of your mind, and with all of your soul (Jeremiah 29:13). Do not give a half-hearted effort just so you can claim that you tried.
- Romans 10:9 says to believe in your heart. This means to really actually believe, not just try, pretend, or claim to believe.
- Read and search the Bible often, and pray to understand it. God is able to reveal to you who Jesus is, so that you may believe, but you must first be willing to seek and listen to Him. This may require you to distance yourself from distractions (including people who may distract or discourage you).
